Unilin presents sustainable innovations at Futurebuild Belgium 2025
On 5-6 February Unilin will be present at Futurebuild Belgium. This new trade show brings together professionals from the construction industry in their pursuit of climate neutrality by 2050. Unilin’s participation underscores its steadfast commitment to a sustainable future.
Reducing 40% emissions to zero
The construction industry accounts for 40% of worldwide CO2 emissions. The trade show aims to showcase sustainable product innovation in the industry in terms of materials, energy and circularity to a specialised audience of project developers, architects, engineers, manufacturers and building materials suppliers. With 150 exhibitors, lectures and keynotes, the trade show offers a platform for collaboration and inspiration.
Shared exhibition stand
“The sustainable focus of Futurebuild Belgium dovetails perfectly with our baseline ‘Better spaces. Better life.’. Sustainability is central in everything we do. Our products create a healthy, comfortable and sustainable environment for our customers. All Unilin divisions will be represented at the trade show. Sharing a stand emphasises our common focus on sustainability and innovation”, says Corporate Sustainability & Environmental Expert Lasse Six.
Circular HPL and Clicwall panels
The stand will feature a selection of sustainable products. Unilin Panels is showcasing Clicwall, a high-end MDF system wall with click profile that is often used in hotels and are made with 100% recovered wood. The Unilin Panels range with such products as the Master Oak collection is not just top-notch in terms of aesthetics but recently Unilin Panels’ HPL panels became the first in the world to obtain the sustainability certificate Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze 4.0. “A wonderful external recognition of our efforts to make our products more sustainable and circular”, Lasse Six emphasises.
Circularity and enhanced well-being
Our colleagues in Unilin Insulation are featuring the Utherm Next insulation board, the world’s first insulation board with 100% circular polyol. They are also presenting Rezillo, a new and versatile construction panel from recycled PIR.
Because sustainability also means feeling comfortable in your own house, Unilin Insulation is using Futurebuild to bring its acoustic roofing element Usystem Roof DS Acoustic to the attention of a professional audience. It is ideally suited for large construction projects (office buildings, hospitals, schools, ...) because it combines strong insulating properties with up to 85% sound absorption. And that is music to many consumer ears.
Recyclable vinyl floors
Unilin Flooring puts their professional range of Moduleo vinyl floors in the spotlight, an interesting and versatile product for architects and developers involved in large-scale building projects. The floors are made to last and come with a lifelong guarantee. Unsurprisingly, they are 100% recyclable. Lasse: “Unilin has even set up its own vinyl floor recycling programme under the moniker ‘Recover’.”
