Recover gives new life to old vinyl floors. Not just our own floors but those of our competitors as well. We collect them, process them and use them as raw material for new, top-quality luxury vinyl floors.
Our take-back process leads the market in terms of floor-to-floor recycling. Throughout the recycling process, we keep a tight rein on things. We either do it ourselves or in cooperation with reliable partners. This eliminates lower quality materials from the mix and significantly boosts the percentage of recyclable materials in our floors.
With your help we can make an even bigger impact.
As a retailer, do you want to make an active contribution to a sustainable future? This is how you can make a difference with Recover.
We collect your old vinyl floors at a more favourable rate. Together we provide customers with a sustainable solution. Are you ready to offer them genuinely circular floors?
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond vinyl. We are the first company in the world to succeed in recycling HDF laminate flooring. And although the Recover programme has already been expanded with HDF laminate and parquet, we continue to search for sustainable solutions so we can recycle even more floor coverings in a responsible manner.
In our mission to become circular, we don’t just consider the composition of our products. We also actively collect old Unilin products in order to recycle them. We do this through the Recover programme.
Unilin has recently become the proud owner of several Cradle to Cradle® Material Health certificates for a generous selection of panels and several laminate floors. Moreover, Unilin even holds the full Cradle to Cradle certificate for a number of subfloors. By obtaining such reliable and independent certificates, we are offering our customers transparent information on the sustainability of our products, enabling them to make conscious, sustainable choices!
Climate-neutral products, from raw materials to the end of their life cycle: that is the mission of the entire group. A concrete application of this ambition is the project that will see Unilin Insulation using only circular packagings as of 2025. The Utherm insulation boards are already being packed with packaging material that is 35% recycled as well as fully recyclable after use.
